Bridging the Gap |
The initiative is an attempt to apply various management theories
studied as part of curriculum, to real life situations as faced
by managers on a continuous basis.
Practicing managers today require the ability to manage the Change.This
is enabled by keen perception, flexibility and the ability to
merge management theories into action plans.

This initiative prepares participants to analyze and recommend courses
of action by applying theory to various "difficult to deal
with problems" and offer solutions to best resolve these issues
confronted by managers day in day out. |

Participants
enhance skills of " professional expression" by way of
publishing articles in business journals and trade and industry
magazines which communicate the usefulness of their ideas to the
industry, and offers an invaluable level of credibility to their

/ Interview |
Participants
interview business leaders obtaining their insights on addressing
crucial & contemporary issues in the section being served by
them. These are published on business web portals adding to their
body of knowledge. Alternatively, participants can conduct seminars,
sharing the results of their business research with project groups. |

| Capstone
Project |
The
capstone project exposes participants to advanced topics in business
management, leading to a deeper understanding of the art of management.
The process involves solving a real problem or with meeting a real
challenge within a particular area of study, based on their own
current employer or of a wider problem in the industry. The capstone
project is a three-credit initiative to integrate field exposure
with academic pursuit under faculty guidance. |

| Indian
Immersion |
The MBS Indian immersion is a two credit course that provides
PGPX participants with an opportunity to explore the business
practices and gain first-hand insights into the working of major
sectors in the Indian economy. The immersion will allow the participants
to explore the relationships within the various sectors of the
economy, and gain first hand information by interacting with the
workers, managers and executives from the Indian Industry.
The one week immersion experience will include Written assignments,
company visit summary during the immersion, and a final research
paper.

Immersion |
The MBS International immersion is a two credit course that provides
the PGPX students with an opportunity to explore international
business practices and gain first-hand insights into a foreign
culture.
The course features on-campus lectures by a specialist to provide
background material on the business environment, history and culture
of the region. The one week immersion experience, conducted in
2 geographies (eg Europe & Middle East) , will include Written
assignments, company visit summary during the immersion, and a
final research paper.
