Dr. Dwarika Prasad Uniyal is a distinguished academician and management consultant. He served as the Founder Dean of Chitkara Business School, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh. He served as faculty member in premier B Schools like SPJIMR, Mumbai; SPJCM, Dubai and MICA, Ahmedabad. He has conceptualized, developed and anchored MBA in Retail Management at MICA and SP Jain Centre of Management in Dubai. He is the co-author of the best selling text book “Managing Retailing” published by Oxford University Press. He has also authored several research papers and articles which are published in International and national Journals as well as leading magazines and newspapers. In 2007 he was nominated by Government of India to represent India at Asian Productivity Organization, Tokyo (Japan) as Country Expert on Retailing and he was part of the team which wrote the report on “Productivity Issues in Retailing across APO Countries”. Over the years he has been invited to deliver key note lectures as well to conduct workshops across US, Middle East, Japan and India. He is a visiting faculty to various B schools across India, Middle East and South East Asia. He has gained more than a decade of experience in retailing as practitioner, consultant, trainer, researcher and business school teacher.
