Dr. Sunil Rai is the former Jt. Director of S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research and Director of Bhavan's Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies. He was commissioned in the Indian Navy in 1979, after passing out from the National Defence Academy. He served with distinction in various ships and establishments as Marine engineer and expert in software systems before retiring as Commander in 1999. As CIO of Goa Shipyard, he was responsible for effecting turnaround making the yard profitable through implementation of an Integrated Enterprise System. As a faculty at SPJIMR, he held the distinction of being the chair of the two- year PGDM program, one- year PGPM and two- year PGDSM- MIT, a program that he created in collaboration with Virginia Tech US. As Jt. Director, he has contributed immensely in crafting relationships with industry and institutions abroad and has been responsible for the placements of all programs. He is the CEO of Mumbai Business School Pvt. Ltd.
